Malibu will play Valley North at UCLA on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. in an elimination game. The winner will go on to play Azusa for the Area 6 championship at 2:00 p.m. Valley North handed Azusa its first loss of the tournament Saturday afternoon by the score of 10-6. Malibu eliminated Baldwin Park from the tournament with a 7-5 win Saturday evening.

The end of a remarkable era......
When my daughter Lily started playing baseball in Malibu her first coach was Eric Roth and it happened to be the same year that he won his Acadamy Award for Forest Gump.....At the time there was this group of young players that seem to stand out.....and playing those early games at Crummer Field was really a unique experience that helped to kick start what would prove to be a very interesting period of Malibu baseball.
Jason Puklus, Brooks Fitch, Jamie Van Soelen, Geoff Roth, Philip Johnson, Daniel Williams, Bret Winstock
These young men continue to give us baseball memories...the latest being through American Legion..
It's been a great run and I'm proud to have been associated in some small way with the process...after all I'm fairly certain I taught Philip how to pull the ball or get kicked out of a game...
But seriously...
The memories are wonderful and these young men more than lived up to the early press.....
no matter what they go on to accomplish in their lives...the memories from their Malibu Baseball experiences
are timeless.....
