St. Bonaventure defeated Serrano, 3-2, on Tuesday to advance to the finals of the CIF Southern Section Division V playoffs. The Seraphs, who defeated Malibu in the first round, will face Monrovia. Monrovia reached the finals with a 9-0 victory over Nordhoff in the quarterfinals and a 3-2 win over Woodcrest Christian in the semifinals.
The championship game will be played on Friday, June 2, at UC Riverside. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
